We are now offering services to "shop on your behalf" for products that are not available on our site, but are available at other online shops in Japan.
Since our founding in 1998, CDJapan has delivered wonderful products to countless customers.
As a long-established cross-border e-commerce site in Japan, we take full responsibility in delivering your valued items. Enjoy our proxy shopping service easily, securely, and speedily.
Why CDJapan Proxy?
Whereas other proxy services make payment twice, once at the time of order and once at the time of shipment, our all proxy fees will be charged upon ordering.
With no more additional proxy fees such as domestic shipping fee charged, your order will ship out faster. *
All items will ship together for free in one package once they're all ready, even if they're from different shops. Just add everything to your cart and place your order.
For example, if you want to order a full set of manga but one volume is sold out on CDJapan, you can use our proxy service for that one.**
You can select "VAT prepayment upon purchase" or "VAT payment upon receipt of goods" in the order flow. Selecting VAT prepayment is highly recommended for EU customers, as it helps avoid additional paperwork and delays. ***
CDJapan has been shipping internationally since 1998, so we have earned a high level of trust in our packaging.
We carefully package orders using bubble wrap and cushioning materials as detailed here, to ensure that customer orders arrive safely.
Your proxy shopping items include free insurance during transit.
For valuable items, we also offer Extra Protection option.

As most of our staff are native Japanese speakers, we can smoothly contact sellers and stores on your behalf, even if you don’t speak Japanese.
Furthermore, no identification is required to purchase Japanese items.
Need a shop-exclusive offer? A second-hand CD with an obi strip? We also welcome such detailed requests, and we'll do our best to accommodate them to the fullest extent possible.

^ **2. Whereas usually one parcel is sufficient for one order, in case the volume of your Requested Order exceeds the capacity of the largest box we have available, the order will be split accordingly.
Also, if there is any future release that won't become available for longer than 60 days after the rest of your order becomes available, our site will separate them. Handling Fee, optional services fee (if applicable) and international shipping charge will apply depending on the number of packages your Requested Order entails.
^ ***3. You can confirm VAT in the order summary if your order is applicable for VAT/GST advance payment.
If your order is applicable to pay VAT/GST upon delivery, VAT and duties will not be included in the estimated order total.

You have multiple ways to make a request for the proxy shopping.
*This step is unnecessary if you are purchasing a proxy product already listed on the CDJapan site.

A "Proxy Shopping Request" button, in green or yellow, appears when an item is no longer available on CDJapan.
With that button, you can send a request for checking the availability & price for our proxy shopping service.
After receiving your request, our staff will search your item on Japanese sites.
* If the button doesn't appear on the page, that means we've already checked the availability of the item and found there's no stock on the Japanese market.
This is also the case if you are not satisfied with the price, shipping fees, or conditions.
*A request for some items may be declined due to shipping restrictions and our restriction policy.

Better packaging and cushioning means better protection for your prized items. We highly recommend this service for valuable items.
How to Order Items from Different Japanese Shops Together
All you need to do is to add to your shopping cart all items you'd like to purchase together, and place your order.
All items will be shipped together in one package when all of them become available for shipment, regardless of whether they are sold at different shops.
* Please note that it is not impossible to add Proxy Items to any existing order or to move them from one order to another because you will be making your Initial Payment right when you place your order.
Please place orders you wish to combine in one instance.
* Maximum box size: W: 78cm x D:47cm x H:33cm
* Service not applicable for orders containing items with release dates 2 months apart, or if the combined size does not fit the largest box available.
Important Notes
* Payment methods are limited to Credit card, PayPal, Alipay or WeChat
* You will be charged with international shipping fees or volume weight fees(*) afterwards if your order is applicable due to size/weight.
(Volume Weight Fee: DHL & FedEx charges a volume weight fee affected by the amount of space that it occupies, rather than the actual weight.)
* Proxy Shopping item(s) cannot be added to existing orders. Please note confirmed orders containing Proxy Shopping item(s) cannot be modified or canceled.
* Please be advised that items may be sold out or fluctuate in price from the time we receive your order, to the time we actually place the order to other websites.
If the price offered at other websites turn out to be more than 1,000yen than the price originally offered at our website, we will contact you asking if you wish to proceed with the item in the new price or not.
If the new price is over your budget, you can ask to cancel the item from your order.
