Extra Protection

To prevent damage to products during shipping, CDJapan places great importance on sturdy packaging. We take the following measures to ensure safe delivery:

• Use of thick, durable cardboard
• Adoption of structures that resist crushing
• Protecting products with bubble wrap
• Inclusion of cushioning paper to fill empty spaces
• Posters are packed in dedicated, sturdy tubes

Why We Introduced the Extra Protection Option

Depending on the shipping method and destination country, packages may still get damaged in transit.
To address this, we have introduced an Extra Protection option with even stronger protection.
Large boxes are especially prone to corner dents, so we have added new countermeasures for corner protection.

Extra Protection Specifications

The following reinforcements will be added:

• Each item will be wrapped in bubble wrap, or similar item groups will be double-wrapped.
• Box corners will be reinforced with corner protectors.
• Additional cushioning paper will be added inside the package.

Extra Protection Fee

• 800 yen per order
  (Flat rate regardless of item quantity or box size)

Selection at Checkout

You can choose one of the following options when placing your order:

• Individual Packing + Corner Protectors:
  Each item is wrapped individually in bubble wrap and reinforced with corner protectors.
• Double Packing + Corner Protectors:
  Similar item groups are double wrapped with bubble wrap and reinforced with corner protectors.

* For [Double Packing], items with different shapes will be wrapped separately.
- Items of different sizes, cardboard sleeve CDs vs. plastic-case CDs, CD vs. Blu-ray will be wrapped separately.
- LP records are wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in an inner box, and then packed into a dedicated LP shipping box.
- Complete Volume Sets: CDs, Blu-rays, comics, and Proxy Purchased Set Items: Collectibles, figures, trading cards will be handled as 1 item so please select [Double Packing].
* Corner protectors will be applied to all boxes that are 5 cm or taller.
* The Extra Protection option does not cover external bonuses.

CD / DVD / Blu-ray / Game Software / Books

1. Each item is wrapped individually in bubble wrap

2. Similar item groups are wrapped with double bubble wrap.

Box Thickness: 5 cm or more: Reinforced with corner protectors

Any gaps are filled with cushioning paper.

A cover sheet is used for the final finish.

LP

Select a dedicated LP shipping box.

Wrap LP in bubble wrap and place it in a LP inner box for protection.

Pack it into a dedicated LP shipping box.

Corner Protectors

[Box Height 5-10 cm] 4 corner protectors are placed on the bottom corners of the box

[Box 10 cm or taller] 8 corner protectors are placed on both the top and bottom corners of the box.

Extra Cushioning Paper

Fill any gaps with plenty of cushioning paper.

Cushioning papers inserted on top and bottom whenever possible.

A cover sheet is used for the final finish.
