[New] Shipping Fees Minimized with Optimal Box Selection Algorithm

package Based on the three dimensions of each package, our "Optimal Box Selection Algorithm" will select the box with minimal possible volume that best suits your products.

This calculation method allows:
✅ Minimizing shipping costs.
✅ Simulate the lowest shipping cost based on the combination of products.
✅ Selecting packaging with minimal empty space, reducing risks of damage during shipping.
✅ Automatically determining whether shipping methods with size restrictions can be used.

✅ The Optimal Box Selection Algorithm applies when...


  • Each items have 3 dimensions registered.
  • A product registered with its 3 dimensions is combined with a standard-size item (CD, LP, EP, DVD, Blu-ray, game software).
  • The total number of products is 10 items or less.

❌ The Optimal Box Selection Algorithm will NOT apply when...

  • The order combines character goods or apparel items which do NOT have the 3 dimensions registered.
  • All items are standard-size items (CD, LP, EP, DVD, Blu-ray, game software).
  • The total number of products is 11 items or more.

Products with Posters

Orders that include posters will be shipped in a larger box to accommodate the poster.
If you do not need the poster and would like to reduce the box size to save on shipping costs, please change this option following the steps below.
By doing this, we will exclude the poster and choose a packaging size with minimal possible volume.

Steps
1️⃣ You will find this option in either the [Order Flow] or in the [Order Summary] page during checkout.
2️⃣ Find "Poster Preference" and tick "Do not include any posters" with my order.

Checking if Optimal Box Selection is Applied

Since the optimal box varies by shipping method, different order weights and volumetric weights based on the optimal box will be shown for each shipping method. For shipping methods with size limitations (e.g., Airmail, FedEx Pak), the optimal box that fits within the restrictions will be automatically selected.

If the optimal box selection algorithm is applied to your order, you will see it in these 3 sections below.

For products with registered dimensions, you can view the volumetric weight of the optimal box under:
[Product Page] > [Shipping Charge Calculator]

【Shopping Cart】
If your order qualifies for the optimal box selection, the volumetric weight will appear under:
[Shopping Cart] > [Shipping Charge Calculator]

【Order Summary】
The measurements and an image of the estimated box will be shown in:
[Order Summary] > [Packaging Type]

Products Registered with 3 Dimensions

If the 3 dimensions are registered, it will be displayed under:【Product Page】>【Product Details】

- Limited Box Packaging Items & Proxy Items:
Products that come in larger packages than standard items such as items with bonuses.
- LP: We work to register the actual size as much as possible.
- Books: Some books have actual dimensions registered, others have estimated dimensions.
- Figures & Plushies: We use estimated dimensions as we do not know the actual size until your order arrives.
- Calendars:We plan to register the dimensions for all calendars.

Packaging Boxes at Shipment

Your order will usually be shipped in the estimated box. However, if the contents of your order change, or if the actual dimensions vary from the registered dimensions, the packaging box will also change.

How to Tell if the Optimal Box Selection Algorithm is Applied?

  • If the product has its 3 dimensions registered it will be indicated in the shipping charge calculator.
  • If the product has its 3 dimensions registered, it will also be displayed under:[Product Page] > [Product Details]
  • Since the optimal box varies by shipping method, different order weights and volumetric weights based on the optimal box, will be shown for each shipping method under:
    [Product Page] OR [Shopping Cart]> Shipping Charge Calculator
  • The measurements and an image of the estimated box will be shown in:
    [Order Summary] > [Packaging Type]
  • The packaging type, volume weight and actual weight will be shown in the Shipping Charge Calculator.

Products We Plan to Register

We aim to register the 3 dimensions for as many products as possible in the future, prioritizing items with larger size variations.

  • Books (actual or estimated measurements)

Changes with Estimated Box

Your order will generally be shipped in the estimated box. If the order contents change, or actual dimensions differ from registered dimensions, the box size will be adjusted accordingly.
