Boxing Day
Jul 20,2006
Hey all, back from my tour of illness to bring you the latest news from CDJapan!

First off, we've updated the Jazz cardboard sleeve reissue page with the third and final wave of releases. This brings the selection of titles up from 200 to 300 albums total, from over 100 artists. Those of you that have been to the page before should keep a look out for the orange "New" label, as those will mark the new additions to the page.

Our system team has also been kind enough to prepare several box set pages! Available in a number of genres, flavors and sizes, the box pages are all ranked so the format should look familiar.

You can see the new box set pages by clicking on the box set link from every genre top page, or you can use the links below.

R2 boxes are great
I have a lot of intrest in the Anime box sets at CDJapan. European releases never have that many boxes to offer with all those nice extras in them that you can get with the Japanese versions.

A few rare companies offer a nice box ones in a while with a couple of nice illustration cards and/or a booklet/artbook. But like I said, those a rare. My last box I bought here at CDJapan was the Memories Off #5 limited edition box, and it was well worth the price. All the extra stuff that came with it was great.

European companies should take a better look at the Japanese releases and release something of similar contence and value, they would surely make a lot of people over here happy if they did.

Hi shawurai!

Yeah, when I first started working here I was surprised to see all the bonuses the manufacturers include with the box sets and first press limited editions.

If you have any interest in movies, you should also check out the movies box sets pages. I'm pretty sure it's sold out now, but we had a "Back to the Future" box set with action figures and all sorts of wacky stuff. Definitely cool if you're a collector.
