The Luck o' the Bag

2006 is almost over and that means its time for our annual fukubukuro sale! The CDJapan staff has spent the last week choosing items from our stock that we think you'll enjoy, and assembling them into bags to represent a number of genres on our site.
Now for the fun part. Have a look at our fukubukuro sale page [link removed at end of sale] and find a bag that you like.
So here's the deal; You'll be able to see at least two of the items in the bag, and the total cost of every item in your bag should be well over the cost of buying the fukubukuro. However, each bag also contains a secret item which you won't see until the package arrives at your house.
Now, we won't be answering any questions about the secret items, but I can promise you we've made sure that each secret item fits in with the feel of its bag.

One per customer?
Sounds exciting! But I'm not sure about the one per customer rule. Does it mean you can have only one bag out of all or for example one jpop female, one anime and one idol? If it's the first one I might be facing some difficulties choosing my lucky bag!! Thanks anyways, this is a great feature!

We wanted to give everyone a chance to buy a bag and there are only a few bags available per genre so, alas, one bag per customer.

quick question
Well this isn't really related to the topic but I was wondering. Now that we're in 2007 is ordering from the website going to be unavailable for a couple of hours/days for inventory reasons?I know there are a couple of other sites out that (that shall not be named) that close their services for a day or two to close their year an make up the inventory? Is this also the case for CDJapan/Neowing or does this fall in another period? I'm asking since I don't really remember seeing something like that on CDJapan/Neowing in the past.

Nope, CDJapan is open 24/7 year round (barring the occasional server hickup). We run a skeleton team during the holidays so responses to emails, site updates, and product additions will take a little longer than normal. The main site, however, will be running at full steam as always.
