Versailles Indies Last Tour

On June 17th, Versailles had a concert in Tokyo Japan.
Two CDJapan staff, Emi and Tahei went to the concert as well as 13 CDJapan customers who bought their tickets! This is a translation of Emi's report of the concert.

When we got to the entrance, fans were lining up waiting for the doors to open.

Although the majority of fans were women, there were still guy fans too!
Many fans were wearing cosplay outfits of gothic-lolitas, punk and even yukata (Japanese summer kimono) too!

I was surprised to see the size of the hall only having accommodations for 200 fans! The farthest seats from the stage was only approximately 10m apart.
Fans were super lucky to be able to see Versailles in such a close distance!

Their performance was not only beautiful but also very strong and their high music skills were overwhelming which figures why they have many guy fans too.
The crowd got most wild during "BEAST OF DESIRE".
KAMIJO, HIZAKI, TERU and Jasmine You came to the very edge of the stage touching their fans!! They surely took advantage of the small size of the hall to get close to their fans!!

As the show was coming to an end, KAMIJO called out to hold hands with the person next to you. Altogether, we shouted "We are Versailles!!" and closed the show.

Even after the concert was done, the members did not just walk off the stage. They stretched their hands out trying to shake with as many fans as possible. I really sensed how much he cared for his overseas fans.

Their appearance resembling European aristocrats in the middle ages, and their perfect world made me almost forget that I was in Japan. Yet it also didn't seem like I was in another country. There are no other words to express this experience but to say they took me to "The World of Versailles". And maybe that is why Versailles has become popular overseas. Go Versailles!!

Here are one of the groups who came to the concert! Thanks guys!!

Awesome, especially the small accommodation. I'm a big Versailles fan and I wish I could've gone to this show. I hope they'll have an European tour in the near future.

What is the general opinion of Japanese adults about gothic-lolita fashion? I know goth-loli is connected to punk (Nobara Takemoto wrote that it's "a fusion of the spirit of punk rock with formal beauty that honors tradition"), and punk is about youthful rebellion, so do people think of goth-loli wearers as bad? In the west we tend to think of Japanese society as very well-behaved, with not much room for rebellion.

I'm too old to understand fashion, but I'm sure they're not trying to appeal to me anyway!

Hi Sheepless

If you are wondering if goth-lolis are the group who would be the "gang" in Japan, I would definitely say no. This might be only my point of view but goth-loli lovers are indeed uniquely dressed but I personally never heard of any crime incidents from goth-loli syle groups. I think they are probably very normal in real life and they just dress wild in their private life. But not meaning acting wild or anything like that. It's probably the same in any country but there are certain groups who tend to get involved in more crimes. They also have a certain style of clothes they wear but nothing close to goth-loli style.

Wow, it sounds like fun! One day I want to go to a concert too! I have been to see Weird Al Yankovich and a few indie bands and that”Ēs it!

I really like Versallies too, I think that their costumes help them to be popular in Europe but their music is cool too. My boyfriend was surprised to find out they were all male though xD He thought that they were girls until he heard them! Hahaha.

Can you please help me with a question relating to BoA”Ēs BEST&USA album? My friend wants to buy it now because they don”Ēt like long sleeve boxes but we aren”Ēt sure what the regular edition looks like. Is it in a ”Čfat”É CD case or are all the discs crammed into a slim case? I”Ēve looked online for a picture and can”Ēt find what the regular press looks like. If you could please tell me or show a picture that would be great!

I was also looking forward to Ayumi Hamasaki's Document book but it was cancelled! But I will save the refunded money for the great Summer Sale instead ^_^ I wonder what I shoul...

Oh! Thank you so much Mana for your help with my order. I will give the details to the changed shipping address later, but for now I have a dude: if I put the new item in my existing order, this (order) participate in the great Summer Sale for the bonus item? The order is more than 5000 yen and it`s because was placed before June 23... So what`s happened Mana? It comes or not?

I am very sorry to hear about the shipping charges. Shipping charges can jump up at the last moment sometimes because the weight indicated on our website is
only an estimated weight from our experiences. We measure the weight when your package is actually in our warehouse and then we find out the actual weight.
And if there is a big difference between the estimated weight and the actual weight, the shipping charges can jump up high.

If you could tell me your order number, I can look into more details.
