Atom (Astro boy)is a famous Japanese manga series and T.V. program aired back in 1963 to 1966. Celebrating Atom's 80th anniversary, Kakugawa Entertainment announced that Hollywood will adapt Atom into CGI.

***Story***
A young boy named Tobio lives in a futuristic metro city where robots and human co-exist. One day he dies in a car accident. His father, driven mad by his grief replaces his son by creating a robot just like him. This is the begining of Atom.


Aya Ueto has been chosen for the voice actor for Astro boy and experienced actor, Koji Yakusho will be playing the voice for Atom's father. As for the U.S. version, Freddie Highmore will be playing Atom and Nicolas Cage for the father.
