CDJapan Visits Noble was Born in Chaos Tour

Mihomiho goes to live
Hi! Mihomiho here! This week I'd like to talk about a concert I went to last weekend, but first I need to announce a few things about our special offers. First, we extended our CD & DVD sale until the end of August. Second, we've finished out coupon campaign for customers purchasing over 5000yen, but we've started the new coupon campaign exclusively for magazine subscription. Anyone can get the coupon by entering your e-mail address to the bar on the campaign page and clicking "Receive Discount Coupon" button (coupon only applicable to magazine subscriptions). If you are interested in a magazine subscription, this is your chance to start! Now then, the concert review!

Last Sunday I went to "Tour - The Noble was Born in Chaos," the collaborative concert of Versailles, Kaya and Matenro Opera. Today I'd like to write about it.

The concert was at Sunphonix Sound Hall in Yokohama. I arrived at the hall nearly one hour before the start of the show. It was such a hot and humid day and waiting outside was hard . . . maybe I was lucky that I was not wearing a Gothic Lolita dress.

The first act was Matenro Opera. They appeard with cool new outfits. They played "alkaloid showcase," "Bokyaku Celluloid," "Plastic Cell" and more. They also played a song from upcoming single "Spectacular," and the song was very good! Sono's voice sounded so beautiful. During their performance, fans started singing "Happy Birthday," for drummer Yuu! It seemed he was very satisfied with the song and big cake prepared by fans.

Second was Kaya. When he showed up, the air of the concert hall changed - he was so goregous in the red dress, and the stage transformed into part of Kaya's elegant world! Everyone screamed "Kaya! Kaya!" and crowded the stage. He sang and danced his latest single "Chocolat" with two handsome boys, and then talked for a while. His MC was so funny; I thought it was great! He said in a suggestive way that he was happy since he got to share his room with Matenro Opera during the concert tour, and everyone laughed. Then he performed "Silvery Dark," "Epicurean" and a few more songs. Every song was dramatic. He sounded pleased when he talked about performing in his hometown the following month.

When final act Versailles started their performance, I'd almost made it to the front of the audience thanks to everyone rushing the stage during Kaya's set. I was standing towards the left side of the hall, so I could see guitarist Teru and bassist Jasmine You playing just in front of me. The audience heated up and went completely mad, falling into chaos . . everyone jumped, screamed members' names, sung, and danced together. The band played "Aristocrat's Symphony," "Suzerain," "Zombie" and more from the latest album "Noble." They also played my favorite songs "Beast of Desire" and "Sforzando." The final song was, of course, their theme song "The Revenant Choir."

This time the concert hall was so small that there was little distance between artists and fans. I loved it and hope that I can go again.

And for the review... Geezz! I DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING; but I see that you enjoyed a lot the concert. Good for you.

I am always trying hard to keep my shape so skinny sounds nice for me:)
Yes, Kaya is so beautiful but he is male.
About Dir en grey new album, we will ask the distributer if they can give us more. Please wait.

Ken007>
Hi! Thank you, you are kind enough to tell sweet things about my photo(^^)
I am not very young, Japanese look young generally.

Yes, I need to write more often to catch up Dan!
by Mihomiho : Aug 02,2008
owh!ok!!*waits excitingly!!*
since Yesasia sells it like ways off CDJ~its so expensive there eventhough the shipping is free~..i wonder why?..huhu curiousuty comes~haha..tahahaha!yah i agree that Japanese people looks younger eventhough they are like in their 80's!!!again why?naze??hahaha..i think its probaly the genes~ cause so countries has not much pollution but they age faster than the Japs..and Japan is more industrilised and more pollution~haha!!interesting~haha
by v.v : Aug 02,2008
It must be the miso soup that is the secret ingredient since it makes you live longer or some secret shieseido product...I don't know...

wow..sold out in one day, big surprise, it seems CDJ always order low stock on items that sell big! You should change that in the future? V.V sounds like you didn't get a chance since you prolly sleeping while this went on sale. ^^

P.S. Uroboros is such a wicked name. I love it!

Miho miho, how old are you? You look very cute from behind. Somehow I feel you'll say you're in your mid-20's and still say you're not that young..although I still might be younger than you are...haha!
btw, I told Dan to watch Batman when it comes out in Japan. You should too. It was amazing!

P.S. How old is everyone here? ken007? v.v? What does everyone do??

Btw, sometimes I really hate yesasia. Their shipping sucks even though it's free cause their packing is crap. I ordered a box set from them once and the box was damaged. They shipped it in a banged-up envelope :(
by wohjai : Aug 03,2008
is it?!!gosh lucky i didnt order from them yet!!!but do you know why does Yesasia sells things so expensive then CDJ??O.O..wohjai!!how did you know???!!!i was sleeping in the afternoon and woke up late at night to check my mail and i was surprise that dir has a new album and i imediately came to order in CDJ and found out its SOLD OUT!!!!!!!!i was devestated!!!tahahaha~so did you get your copy?gosh~might just get the limited version one if CDJ doesnt have the stock for the special version one~~D:
owh yah!dark night kick ass!!!!!hahaha
And i'm a student ... 19 years old~tahahaha..what about you?Wohjai?tahahahahah!!i dont even mind telling my age or what so ever!!tahahahaha!!Dan should try opening up!!tahahahahah!!
by v.v : Aug 03,2008
1- Oh! Thanks for the info. about Yesasia shipping -wohjai and v.v.-. I would like to buy my game in this store but I agree with you two(ugly packing, expensive items = bad sevice).
2- Tomorrow Sunday I will watch Batman(if you tell is amazing I think it`s true because whenever I go to cinema tickets are sold out...).
3- Miso soup = OISHIII(in my country is really cheap)
4- I`m a librarian(I like research, mitology and technology), 28 years old and very great fan of J-pop, techno, hip-hop and rap music(J-rock = minimum). Ah! I like origami too...(I have classes with a japanese teacher every Saturday).

PS: Next time = more info.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
by Ken007 : Aug 03,2008
Hi~! Glad to read your review on Versailles tour (^_^) I went to one of their gigs in June and yes, i must said Versailles is very different compared to other VK bands. I also loved it and would love to go to view their gig again.
by Rika : Aug 03,2008
The only reasons I can come up with is that since they offer their crap free shipping service then they have to jack up the prices to compensate for that loss. Also, Yesasia has offices in Hong Kong. I think that's where they ship their stuff out. I know they have one in the US, but somehow I think we get our stuff shipped from HK. So they first have to order their stock from Japan suppliers so that is part of their shipping costs even before it is shipped to us. Even though there's a high price difference, I'd much prefer to pay here at CDJ because usually things come in excellent and spotless condition. There was only once I got a poster with a dented corner, but that's livable because I know CDJ works hard for quality maintenance, unlike...#%^&*#% !! I only order from Yesasia when things are sold out here and become desparate. If you do order from Yesasia, make sure you tell them in the customer comments area for your order to ship in a box or else they just do it the lazy way.
by wohjai : Aug 04,2008
I was gonna add that the only good thing at Yesasia is that I've never been charged customs. Maybe since CDJ is from Japan it's more likely customs will charge. I dunno how it works.

v.v > Well, it was a wild guess that you were sleeping. Cause Dan told me usually these sales that sell out the first day is because the info comes up in Japan first, which means night for us so they find out first. I also guessed right that you were younger than me based on the way you write. I'm guessing Dan is around 26. Wild guess.

I'm still thinking if I should buy the disc...I'm trying to save up as much as possible..gotta pay for my whole tuition..btw, I'm 20 years old...turning 21 in 3 weeks. I'm an interior designer. I work at an architecture firm. Btw, if you haven't seen it already (not sure if it's still running), on your next CDJ order, place it as a gift order. The summer gift invoice design was drawn by me. Have a look and tell me what you think :)

K...about to have a BBQ in this glamourous sky!
by wohjai : Aug 04,2008
Here's a sneek preview of what's on the BBQ menu:

- Caesar Salad
- Beef Medallion w/Seasoned Bacon Wrap
- Rack of pork
- Unagi
- Pork Ribs
- Smoked Salmon
- Portebello
- Red Peppers
- Honey-glazed Chicken Wings
- Octoberfest Sausages
- Corn
- Chocolate Icecream
- Beer

Hope I've gotten all of you hungry. I'm cooking! ;)
by wohjai : Aug 04,2008
May I also add a reason why you would not want to buy the special edition. One the high price. Two, it includes two LP's. Now if you don't have the player then those 2 LP's become pretty much useless. Even if you have the player like me, I still feel it would be inconvenient. But that shouldn't stop a die-hard fan like you from buying it, ne?
by wohjai : Aug 04,2008
v.v>
I have no idea about Yesasia's system, maybe they are not purchasing directly from the manufactures? I'm not sure.
About dir en grey album, they still don't give us the answer. i will let you know as soon as possible.
You are so young! I want to go back to your age . . . it's long time ago for me.
wohjai>
I often cook miso soup by myself:) I am female and I don't want to tell my age clealy, but you can guess I am not that young - I was graduated from university and worked for a company for a few years, and then moved to CDJapan more than 3 years ago.
by Mihomiho : Aug 04,2008

Ken007>
Librarian is a great job! And I't nice that you are learning Japanese and Japanese origami(^^) And your age is not so different from mine.
by Mihomiho : Aug 04,2008
Hi! everybody. Ken007 here! I`m returned to my period of hibernation.
wohjai>
You are right! This movie of Dark Knight is incredible. The joker is not a God like you said = IS THE DEVIL IN PERSON. Oscar almost guaranteed.
Mihomiho>
1- You cook miso soup? Great!! I will like to taste a homemade bowl someday **Mmmmmmm**
2- I see by your experience you're a great professional. Congratulations. I also have many years of working but in education(7).
3- Your age is like mine? PERFECT! Miho-kun is now Miho-san. Je,je,je.
4- This logo of yours(^^) is very pretty. Mmmm... I would like to have one also.
by Ken007 : Aug 05,2008
Miho>
I forget something: in Japan the movies like "Dark Knight" comes totally in japanese or in your original langauge with japanese subtitles?. I think would be very difficult for you read kanjis, hiragana and katakana(all at same time). Poor Dan(with that memory!!...)
by Ken007 : Aug 05,2008
Rika>
I join Mihomiho for your arrival to the blog. You're the second girl here besides Miho.
Good to see CDJapan blog is in expansion.
ARIGATOU for support!!
by Ken007 : Aug 05,2008
wohjai>haha!i must have used alot of expressions when i write..must have give up my immaturity..must be those animes that have got into me lately..haha..owh well i'll try to cut down those expressions then~ bout the design thingy,i'll have to pay extras to see it..i'd rather pass..i think i'll will be a very nice one though since CDJ uses it.And your working already?!so young!your studying part-time?Tuition fee?
And yes!i'll still buy the deluxe version cause i'm a die hard fan!as you have mention!X)..and Linkin Park will soon have a new album too!maybe next year or the year after..still in progress.

by v.v : Aug 05,2008
miho> yea!they are in stocks again!thanks CDJ!And your not that old..i suppose your 29 or 28 like ken007..well 20's or 30's is still young!not old at all. So may i know which university you attend when your in university? And which course did you major in?ken007?wohjai?
Rika> hello!welcome!X)
ken007>waoh!origami is tough stuff..i tried to make a butterfly once but its really hard..cant make it~

ps: And its pretty funny that wohjai and ken007 just knew how old they were..since you guys have been in CDJ blog since 2006/7. funny~
by v.v : Aug 05,2008
Ken007> yeah by heath being God, I meant that his performance was godlike, ie. He will win an Oscar...te te te

v.v> Regarding the CDJ gift invoice, it's free to choose to ship your order as a gift order. CDJapan just puts in the invoice inside your package. It's only gift bags that you have to pay for. So next time, check the box that says to send as a gift order, it's free. Then you can see and comment on my design (that's if it's still running, I think I might have to come up with a new one soon for the coming fall season).

Yes, I'm working full-time right now during my summer break...which is ending in less than a month. Then I have to go back to school for my 4th year (full time). Tuition is just too expensive :(

Btw, Minutes to Midnight was a disappointment so I'm not really looking forward to the next LP album.
by wohjai : Aug 06,2008
Imagine Batman was to be dubbed in Japanese...omg, Bruce Wayne would sound so unmanly XD
by wohjai : Aug 06,2008
v.v> You are right! Origami is tough. My sensei always said that it is difficult, required much patience, concentration and even she is sometimes surprised by the evolution that had this kind of art. The most easy task?: a tulipan(30-40 seconds); the most difficult for me?: a wall decoration (50 minutes take me to make...Ufff!, but it`s in my room now).

wohjai> Yeah! Heath had great performance. I undestand the meaning of your phrase. Don`t worry, man. Ah! and thank you for the hint of gift order: Next time I send a gift to myself(Je,je,je).
by Ken007 : Aug 06,2008
Mihomiho> Did you tell me please, if the coupon of 500 yen(per magazine suscription campaign) is VALID to applicate in other type of order(like normal CD`s or DVD`s?). I suppose YES.

wohjai> I like anime, too. But only comedies: are funny and entertaining like "Slayers Revolution".
by Ken007 : Aug 06,2008
Ken007>
Foreign movies usually comes with original audio and Japanese subtitles, except movies mainly for children. I prefer original audio - voice is important. When I watcj foreign movie on DVD, I usually choose English with English subtitles, to study Engllish.
I'm sorry to disappoint you but the coupon is just for magazin subscription. Sorry!

v.v>
I am happy that you could pre-order Dir en grey album! And It' nice that you think I am not old (^^) My Major is international relations. (The university I went is in Japan so maybe you don't know.) And only 1 semester I studied in an Ireland.
by Mihomiho : Aug 06,2008
Miho> yes!i'm very happy! And as you can see also that in the reviews, alot of people are happy too!:) Thank you very much!!Owh and only one month in ireland?!your eigo is good already..i bet you did alot of homeworks!XP

Wohjai> Oh i see,i'll do it next time on my next purchase..are you gonna make a new one? the invioce design..so i'll check out the new one instead of the old one..so how did you even design something for CDJ?you work for them too?
And LP's MTM is ok..i wasnt really that dissapointed but since they wanted to try out new stuff, its good..i'll support them no matter what!XP..i'm a huge/die hard fan of Dir and LP!
What about everyone?Ken007?Whojai?Miho?
by v.v : Aug 06,2008
v.v> well, I believe I will make a new one for fall. But please do check out the summer design before it runs out. It's cool. I'm part of their art support team. So I guess I'll talk to Dan about it later on.

...and as I've mentioned b4, I'm a huge alice nine fan!
by wohjai : Aug 07,2008
Best Visual Kei band since Malice Mizer
Versailles is easily one of the best visual kei bands to hit the scene since Malice Mizer. I love all their songs. Although I can't see them live, I did have a friend from Japan send me the entire performance that she had managed to record on her cell phone. I don't know if it was the performance reviewed above though. Matenrou Opera is another great VK band and I love the lead singer's voice! Somebody should tell J-Rockers that the people in Florida are desperate to see them live! If Versaillies and Matenrou Opera could do an anime convention or something here in America that would be HOT!
by NekoGirl : Aug 07,2008
Wohjai>owh ok i'll try to get a gift for myself. when i see it i'll review back to yah! Cool, your in the support team? So your like living in Japan? And studying in Japan too?cool!
by v.v : Aug 07,2008
miho>owh and sorry, not a month but a semester! my mind was thinking a month..haha..oh well unless your still maintaining your english skills!X)
Owh alot of my friends are taking international relations too!its popular huh?haha..
by v.v : Aug 07,2008
Hey guys, Mihomiho's out of the office for a couple of days so she won't be able to respond for a while. I bet she's on the beach right now . . .

NekoGirl> Welcome! And hang in there, I know Versailles sometimes plays in America. In fact, I believe they have a three-day series at Anime USA in Arlington, Virginia this October.
by Dan : Aug 07,2008
v.v> You're totally off. I'm part of their art support team, but I don't live in Japan. XD

Dan, what's the deal with the new term, "Ad Poster"? Is it the same as a bonus poster?
by wohjai : Aug 08,2008
wohjai> it's a translation thing. The original Japanese is different from the Japanese for "poster." Since the Japanese means "ad poster," that's how it's translated. I don't think they're different, but in my head I imagine that an ad poster is more like an advertising poster versus a poster which is usually just some sort of artist photo.

Mihomiho >
Hello~! Actually I went for RUVIE's picture gig on the 24th June cause that's the only day I can attend to watch Versailles perform. Although Versailles only performed 4 songs that night, I LOVE THEM~! LOL Now i'm waiting for their new live dates so i can arrange my next Japan trip :p heheheh.....I also started to like Dolly on that gig.

Ken007>
Oh I didn't know I'm the 2nd girl in this blog. ;p¡¡
by Rika : Aug 08,2008
v.v.>
GOMEN NE. I`m not a die hard fan of these type of groups. Like I mentioned above only J-pop, techno, rap, hip-hop and minimum j-rock music.

Dan>
Welcome back to the blog my friend. Miho-san will go to the beach? What lucky!!! WHOA! Perhaps bring us a NEW photo(Je,je.je)

Rika>
Yeah! You are the second as far as memory serves me correctly... CONGRATULATIONS!
by Ken007 : Aug 09,2008
v.v., wohjai, shiwarai>
It is very strange... I had been checking the reviewers of your type of musicals groups and I don`t see anyone of you in there. Mmmmmmmm... All of you are very shy to express a simple commentary or WHAT?
by Ken007 : Aug 09,2008
ken007> i dont write reviews cause i'm lazy..

wohjai>i cant gift my order cause most of the stuff i buy is either shirt or special Dvds or Cds..so they cant be packed as gift..can you just give us a link like photobucket..or something like that..
by v.v : Aug 09,2008
ken007> I think I wrote one review. That's it. I don't really write them cause everyone sounds over-exaggerated and in the end I feel it sounds kinda stupid. I just read what other ppl are blabbering about...lol. Btw, is shawurai a guy or a girl?

v.v> You can gift order for anything, cds, dvds, t-shirts, etc...by sending as a gift order, all they're doing is sending you your package with a gift invoice inside (a sheet of paper) without the listed prices, that's it. They don't package it any different from normal orders, unless if you specify to send as gift wrapped.

On the other hand, I've never tried not sending it as a gift before. Dan, does it come with the invoice if you don't send it as a gift? Btw v.v, I send things as a gift to have a better chance of bypassing the customs fees ;)
by wohjai : Aug 09,2008
wohjai> i see, i better try too,the fees are not cheap!..they do have an invoice but with everything listed..and the paper is plain..so i suppose the difference is the paper, one is plain and the other is designed(gift)?
Btw, havent seen shawurai lately.
Olympic 2008 opening is awesome!Did you guys catch it?
by v.v : Aug 10,2008
Wow, I'm so envious of mihomiho going to that concert. I love Kaya and it is my dream to go to Japan and see him live someday. I wouldn't mind seeing Versailles either; Hizaki's guitar playing is amazing!

I've used yesasia a few times for stuff that CDJ doesn't stock. I have only received one order where the CD case had got broken in the post tho'.

v.v> I did watch the Olympic opening. I loved the costumes and was amazed at the amount of people and planning involved. I liked the Tang dynasty bits best. I also enjoyed the part at the beginning with all those drums that lit up to form numbers and the movable type.
by Bara no Josei : Aug 11,2008
v.v.>
Oh! You lazy? = You big bear!
You have right: shawurai is lost long, long, time ago. Maybe he was in the Olympic Games(Je,je,je).

v.v. - Bara no Josei>
In my country the transmission was very early(6:00 a.m.)so when I awakened it`s 6:25 a.m. I don`t see the drums; only a large number of chinese men with rare instruments in their hands as bamboo organets or something like it and a pretty dress. Thereafter I saw everything.
SUGOOOOI NE?
by Ken007 : Aug 11,2008
Bara no Josei> i see..i've never ordered anything from yesasia..i dont think i'll ever order anything from there then!lol, yes!the opening was awesome!i also enjoyed the moving boxes!i cant believe that it was human who made those boxes move!its incredible! And yes!the drums and everything was awesome, including the lights!

Ken007> yah!he must have went to Beijing to watch the olympics!Yes!its supa sugoii! i catch the repeat though for the parts that i've missed!the march pass was long!2hours man!

-So is playasia good?in terms of shipping?
by v.v : Aug 11,2008
Ken007> I'm glad it was shown in the afternoon in my country, as I wouldn't have been able to wake up for 6.00am!

v.v> Yes, I thought the boxes were being moved by machine at first. I liked the way the peach blossoms popped out of them. I stopped watching when all the athletes started coming out, though I did see Japan's team!

Playasia's shipping is quite good because they ask you how you want your order packaged (box or bubble wrap). I always go for the box so stuff doesn't get damaged.
by Bara no Josei : Aug 11,2008
owh ok thanks for the info!
by v.v : Aug 12,2008
