For those of you who haven't been to our top page in a while and don't receive our Jpop newmail, CDJapan is running a sale on select Johnny's Jimusho items. We also have some changes at CDJapan.
First and foremost, we've discovered a problem with our support email system that may have caused us to lose your email. If you've sent email to CDJapan support recently and haven't received a response, we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and ask that you please send your email again (note: emails sent over the weekend will be answered in order the next business day). Thanks to Ken007 for the heads up here.
There's also been a slight change to the image used for our gift card due to difficulty printing the original design. The new image can be seen here.
Also, if you're a fan of idol DVDs you may have noticed that you can no longer access our main idol page (linked from the top tabs of our pages). Unfortunately, this is the result of a conflictwith the rules of one of the companies we do business with. We're doing everything in our power to try to return the idol page, but there is a chance that we may not be able to carry idol DVDs from now on.
Finally, if you encounter difficulty accessing any of our non-idol pages, please post on the blog or contact customer support. For some reason we've a couple of random pages have been dropping from our site (chieftly Hikaru Utada's "Heart Station" and Namie Amuro's "60s 70s 80s."), so if you think an item should be up that isn't, please contact us.

I Want Idol DVDs
I would really like to get my head around why so suddenly CDJapan found out about this rule, or perhaps this is a new business arrangement. I know that idol DVDs are probably not the biggest draw to the site, but they are the only reason I am a customer here, and do appreciate the service I receive. Hopefully this won't be prolonged into months. I suppose you've made public what you could about the situation. I don't know all the facts or why this business partner enforces this rule upon you. I just hope you do carry them in the near future.

Thanks for being understanding. It's not so much that we just found out about the rule so much as that we we're suddenly informed that we were infringing upon something we believed we weren't. The matter's still up for debate, but there's not much we can do right now but be optimistic.
While we can't display our idol page right now, if you're looking for DVD or CD releases from an actor or actress you might want to try a search for the name under artist search.

Can we BUY Idol DVD's
I've bought many Idol DVDs from cdjapan going back to 2002. I now see Idol home page doesn't load, but individual idols may be accessed through their names. I have also read that cdjapan cxled orders of Yoko Matsugane next DVD due for release on March 21st.I was interested in that one as well as the latest Rio Natsume release "Naked". So my questions are:
Are titles already in stock still being sold?
Newer titles like Natsume's Naked state available in 3 to 7 days. Will an order placed for this title be fulfilled or are all titles that cdjapan ordered to have in stock been suspended.
It is one thing to state that the idol home page is not accessible because of the ongoing issue resolution. It is an altogether different issue to have specific DVD be accessible.
In short, can we place orders at this time for Idol DVDs with the expectation of order fulfillment?

It`s a good question from Michael.I have Nono Momohara`s DVD in my saved items and don`t know if put this item in an order for the same reason.

I'll be able to confirm this tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure we aren't canceling orders for anything right now. We're still working out the details on what we need to do to become compliant, but it's looking like we might need to take down some of the more aggressive works or at least remove their photos. Regardless, you should be able to order and receive anything you find on our site (both in stock and awaiting reorder--aka 3-7 days). Even if we need to take something down, I'm pretty sure that we'll fulfill any orders placed for that item up to the point when the item was removed from our site. Once again, I'll confirm that tomorrow.

OK, just confirmed it. We ship any orders we receive including idol DVDs. If someone's order for Yoko Matsugane's March 21st DVD was cancelled, it didn't have anything to do with the current problems we have with idol DVDs on the site. You should be able to order anything you find on our site!
