Regarding Dong Bang Shin Ki

Hey all! If you've you had trouble looking for Dong Bang Shin Ki during the last couple of days, that's because we've changed the CDJapan official spelling from "DongBangSinKi" to "Dong Bang Shin Ki (Tohoshinki)."
It came to our attention that there were several different methods of writing the group's name (Dong Bang Shin Ki, Tong Vfang Xien Qi, Tohoshinki, Dong Bang Shin Gi, and related accronymns). Though the official Japanese name stands as "Tohoshinki," we went with "Dong Bang Shin Ki" since it seems to be standardized throughout much of the English-speaking world.
From now on, when doing an artist search for DBSK at CDJapan make sure you use "Dong Bang Shin Ki" (with spaces between each word and an "h" in "Shin") to ensure you get the right group. "Tohoshinki" will also give you the same results, but be careful, as any other spelling of the name will not.
CDJapan appologizes if this inconveniences you, but we feel that standardizing the spelling will make searching for Dong Bang Shin Ki easiest for the most people.

Regarding Dong Bang Shin Ki Comments
Tenjochiki, please too!
After improving the search for DBSK you could also improve it for Tenjochiki (Cheon Sang Ji Hee the Grace). No matter how I type it, I never get a valid hit with the artist search and have to search for a song/album- title to find them. The artist-search doesn´t work for other artists as well. When you look for “Jade Valerie” f. e., you won´t find it, even though that name is right now mentioned in the “What´s new”-box.

Thanks for the comment! It's funny that you mention Tenjochiki because I just fixed up their name yesterday for an Asian artists page I'm working on. The CDJapan official listing as of now is "Cheon Sang Ji Hee the Grace (Tenjochiki)," which should be searchable starting tomorrow. I'll post a link to the new Asian artists page when it's up so that everyone can see our official spellings for the other artists.
As for Jade, unfortunately that's a more difficult problem. Right now Jade Valerie solo works are listed under "Sweetbox," which isn't terribly convenient but that's the way Oricon indicates it should be. I'll talk to our system team to see if we can work something out for Jade, but she might be stuck under "Sweetbox" until she gets deeper into her solo career.
Finally, I apologize for our search system and want you to know that this year we're working to really fix it!
