2006 CDJapan Summer Campaign!
Aug 02,2006
Hello again!

It's that time of year again. CDJapan's finishing off this summer with a series of major campaigns. We've got several new and upcoming sales and are increasing the points you receive by 10% on select items.

If you haven't yet checked out the CDJapan Summer Campaign page, now is the time.

We're also running a promotion for new customers! People who register for a new CDJapan account between now and August 31, 2006 will receive 500 free points (a 500 yen value). I'm not sure how many people there are who aren't registered with CDJapan but are reading this blog. But if you are out there, now is definitely the time to sign up.

Waiting for the CD sales ^^
I noticed this new sales promotion yesterday. Look svery interresting. I don't have any DVDs I want to get right now, but I have my eye on a couple of CDs I would want to get. With a bit of luck they'll be in the promotion ones September starts.

I recently noticed that the search function has been updated with a couple more option to sort things out. I don't think it was mentioned before in a previous blog, but it's usefull addition to sort the releases since I like to sort the releases on 'oldest first' ones in a while.

Are there any plans on doing an option on availability?

Like sort all 'in stock' items first, followed by those that are not in stock (3-5 days, 3-7 days, 2-4 weeks) and than as last all 'out of print' items? All items in each section could be sorted on release date so that you would have the most recently released items that is 'in stock' on top of the list while the oldest released item that's 'out of print' would be located at the end of the list after sorting it on availability.

Hi shawurai,

I actually really liked your idea about having an option arrange items by "In Stock" status so I asked our system team about it. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's possible at this time. But great idea none the less!

Thanks for asking it
Well it was some wild idea I had and I wasn't sure if it would actaully be possible to integrate it. But thanks for asking them (system team) about it :)
