Bleach

Tite Kubo's hit manga "Bleach," appearing in Shonen Jump, made the transition to successful TV series last fall, and the first anime DVD was released in February this year.

If you're unfamiliar with the plot, it's the tale of Kurosaki Ichigo, who is not an ordinary 15-year-old. He can see spirits and ghosts. One day, the "God of Death," named Rukia, appears before him while hunting an evil spirit. Naturally, as always happens in these situations, the "god's" powers are transferred to Ichigo during the confrontation. Now he must team up with Rukia (who happens to be a beautiful woman) to seek out other rogue spirits.

The opening theme, "* - Asterisk" is performed by Orange Range, who were also responsible for one of the "Naruto" themes. To date, there have been two ending themes; "Life is Like a Boat" by "Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny's" Rie Fu, used in the first 13 episodes. Japanese hip-hop group Home Made Kazoku picks up from episode 14 with their rendition of "Thank You!!"

Don't forget the soundtrack CD is now available for preorder. Music by Shiro Sagisu of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" fame.
