Chonmage Purin (English Subtitles)

"Chonmage Purin," literary means "Chonmage and pudding," is the latest Japanese film starring Ryo Nishikido who is a member of two Johnny's groups NEWS and KANJANI8. It is his first leading role in a film. Directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura of "The Glory of Team Batista" and features English subtitles.

Plot: Hiroko Yusa is a single parent and struggles with raising her son Tomoya and working at the same time. One day, she meets a real samurai from the Edo period named Yasube Kijima who travels through time somehow to arrive in present day Japan. Yasube ends up working for Hiroko as a housemaid in return for food and lodging. He starts to make sweets for Tomoya, which leads to him become a popular patissier. The three gradually become very close, however time to say good bye also draws near. . .
