Hula Girl

The story proceeds in Fukushima Prefecture, 1960. People in a small town make their living from the local coal market. However, their coal mine is going to be closed.

The coal company desides to build a Hawaian center in the place of the mine, and the girls of the town are gathered together to make a dance team. To save their town and families, a team of country girls must struggle to become elegant hula dancers!

Film stars Yu Aoi ("Honey & Clover"), Yasuko Matsuyuki, Etsushi Toyokawa, Shizuchan, and Shizuyo Yamasaki, with music from Jake Shimabukuro.
