Kuroko's Basketball (Kuroko no Basket) -Replace- 2 (JUMP j BOOKS) [Light Novel]Tadatoshi Fujimaki, Sawako HirabayashiNostalgicEach light has around 2 or 3 stories about either a specific high school or even a more nostalgic one like Teiko , as this one had. It's always heartwarming to get a glimpse on everyone's off-screen time during Teiko. :)

Kuroko's Basketball (Kuroko no Basket) -Replace- 1 (JUMP j BOOKS) [Light Novel]Tadatoshi Fujimaki, Sawako HirabayashiLighthearted storiesMy favorite story was Kaijo's one, where Kise and co. tried to pick up girls on their last day of summer vacation. :) The stories are well-paced and lighthearted.

Chumon No Oi Ryori Ten (Shincho Bunko)MIYAZAWA KENJI / ChoOld childrens book, mini collectionThe content itself is amazing for anyone who values post-war Japanese literature, and the short stories are really all wonderful reads, I completed the whole book in less than a week. A slight warning, the Japanese written in it is fairly old, so be prepared for a challenge if you're a Japanese learner who isn't used to reading older Japanese writing. I find the difficulty to be a very fun and insightful challenge, which is why I give the book 5 stars!

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- 1 (MF Bunko J) [Light Novel]Nagatsuki Tappei / Otsuka ShinichiroOne of The Colossuses of Narou - Re:ZeroAt long last, I was finally able to buy the first volume of the magnum opus light novel of Nagatsuki Tappei - Re:Zero. This series is an amazing character study, a mystery series, and just a living demonstration of what good isekai stories can be like; and if you’re someone who is an anime-only fan, I 100% recommend you read the light novel, because there’s much more to this series than what the anime adaptation has shown. When I first thought of buying Re:Zero in Japanese, I thought that I should level up my Japanese first, because the first time I ever read a Japanese light novel in an eBook format, it was Re:Zero, and I pretty much got wrecked by its difficult Japanese and had to make a tactical retreat to come back later after I level up my Japanese proficiency. Now that I actually bought volume 1 and can hold in in my hands, it feels pretty amazing to have it. I was kinda surprised at the book’s size at first - since I didn’t know it was the pocket size one - but everything is pretty much okay with it. The text quality is great, and the illustrations by Outsuka-sensei are spectacular; and of course, Nagatsuki-sensei’s writing itself is phenomenal. I 100% recommend it.

Takemitsu Zamurai His Sword Must Be Bamboo! 1 (Shogakukan Bunko)Matsumoto Taiyo, Eifuku IsseiHappy with the purchaseVery happy with the purchase. I have read the manga in the digital format and when I found the printed one here I was excited to get it! It's smaller than the typical manga volumes but definitely worth it if you're a fan of the story. :)

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 5 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiThis volume is thiccYes, volume 5 is here as well and wow this is a really thick book! It has a much bigger page count than the others and so it covers most of the Mugen Gakuen Arc or Infinity Arc. All my personal favourite Senshi appear in this volume except for the "final Senshi". It's a bit sad that the entire arc didn't fit into the volume, but since this is already such a bulky book, I think you've got a huge bang for your bug.
-
Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 6 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiThe other thicc one!Volume 6 is maybe the thickest book of all the manga. It contains the entire second half of the Infinity Arc and also starts out with the Dead Moon Arc or Dream Arc if you will. So in addition to the usual story, there are again two bonus chapters included. Chibiusa's diary which is more on the funny and lighthearted side - it's about the Tanabata festival. And we have Kaguyahime no koibito, which is about Luna having a crush on someone. You know, it's the same as the one Sailor Moon movie from the 90's anime. This volume is also highly recommended, since Sailor Saturn is finally here. The art is as pretty as always and the story continues in a well-paced manner.
-
Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 7 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiFirst half of the Dream ArcI'd say that this volume contains the first half of the Dream Arc, minus the one or two chapters in the previous one. I didn't remember the Dream Arc to be this long, but here we are. The Dream Arc is in fact my favourite Arc since it tells sp much about character development and contains more clues about the overarching story. I just can say - yes, it's a highly recoomended volume. Please don't hesitate to get it no matter which version.
-
Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 8 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiA lot of bonus chapters! The second half of the Dream Arc is here! I love it so much, especially because of the relationship between Chibiusa and Helios. I think there's a lot of character development for Chibiusa in this volume. It also shows that Chibiusa and Usagi are very different from each other and not only "kopies" as suggested in the previous volumes where the Moon Princess is always like their mother. In this volume there are also a lot of extra chapters that don't contribute to the overall plot, but are nice refreshing additions to the stories. There's another Chibiusa Diary chapter as well as love stories for Mako-chan, Ami-chan and Rei-chan. But now that we're finished with my favourite arc, the darkest one is yet to follow.
-
Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 9 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiThis one is tinyI don't mean the format! I think I already mentioned that in the first volume, so I didn't just find out about this after 9 volumes ;) What I mean is, compared to the other volumes, this one is really, really short. It contains the first six chapters of the Stars arc, which covers about the first movie of the Cosmos anime movies. So you know exactly where the sotry is going. It's getting darker and darker and really sad! We're also getting a lot of character development for Usagi. Not that she doesn't get any in previous arcs, but I think in this final one, she's really growing from all of her experiences.

The item was shipped with excellent packaging and perfectly corresponding to the description. The staff is very precise, kind and available to resolve any doubts or problems despite the distance that separates us as I live in Italy. I will certainly continue to make purchases from CD Japan both directly from them and through the Proxy Item service. Congratulations to all the staff.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 1 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiDark Kingdom Arc first halfThis volume covers the first half of the first Arc of the Dark Kingdom. This edition includes the chapters about Chiba Mamoru and stops by the appearance of Sailor V. There are no coloured illustrations except for the cover in this edition, a little sad, but the black and white chapter covers are still very beautiful. The new format is fairly small, so you'll know if you need glasses. The advantage with this format is that you can take it everywhere!

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon [Manga Bunko Set / Vol.1-10] (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiWonderful editionsI'm so happy I finally got a complete set of the manga. I owned Sailor Moon partly in a German edition which had the images mirrored, so it would fit the "western way" of reading. Additionally it was translated from French, so there were many mistakes in that as well. In the end I got to know that the English translations weren't well translated either, especially the Stars Arc. So I found the best solution was to buy the whole set in Japanese and here I am, looking at it and admiring the beautiful illustrations! The order was beautifully packed as well, very secured and it arrived perfectly.

Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (Shincho Bunko)Shiwon MiuraArrived safe and soundThe book arrived safely, and without issue. I love Kakeru and Haiji so much, and bought the novel because of the anime.

Full Moon wo Sagashite 2 Shueisha BunkoArina TanemuraThe story rapidly continues! The pace of the manga is really well, although I think the newer release is much smarter in putting more chapters from the original release together. Because vol. 2 from ribbon mascot was a little bit boring - even if that was very important to establish the characters too! So here we're already through parts of it and also learn more about Eiichi-kun as well. I think the cute tone is still present in the manga, but there's a good amount of foreshadowing for later plot points.
-
Full Moon wo Sagashite 3 Shueisha BunkoArina TanemuraThe plot is very serious now!Fullmoon wo sagashite is going down the river in this volume :) There are many revelations and new things to learn about the characters which you never knew would get such a good backstory. I can really recommend this manga, it's one of Tanemura's best ones :)

Heaven Official's Blessing (Tenkanshifuku) 1 [Regular Edition]Xiang Tong Xiu, et al.Finally in Japanese!!Tian Guan Ci Fu is one of my favourite two Japanese BL novels. It's such a beautiful and magical story with so many very multilayered characters. Reading the Japanese version is such a delight! It's closer to the original than when I read the novel in English - and yes, I now own this novel in almost every language I know. If you're in for a really well-told and slowly build up fantasy story, you won't regret getting this one. I was really hooked reading about San Lang and Xie Lian and yeah this first volume has everything that makes a good start for a really long story!
-
Heaven Official's Blessing (Tenkanshifuku) 2 (Dahlia Series Uni)Xiang Tong XiuMeet bratty Xie LianThis volume is full of flashbacks! You'll read about Xie Lian's past, a hopeful young prince seeking (and suceeding) to ascend to the Heavens as a God. But being a God has a lot of different rules so you'll see how such an inspiring young man as Xie Lian slowly struggles with life. I can only recommend TGCF as a novel. The Japanese translation is really great and I have to say it's so much fun reading it in Japanese vs. the English version.
