This is a paperback book and it comes only in japanese, however, i have been wanting something about Godzilla S.P. since i watched the show because i loved it, but i didnt want a plush nor a tshirt... This book is perfect! from what i can understand, it is "The Art of..." type of book... I wasnt sure about ordering it because the shipping cost more than the book itself, but now that i have it in my possession, i dont care about the cost... also i found it on ebay and it was the same total so, i definitely recommend cdjapan.

Absolutely fantastic buying new mooks of innovative Anime original movies, especially Godzilla!!! I have loved the Godzilla character ever since I first saw the 1954 film when I was only 4 years old... 52 years ago! Now with these new anime books I purchased from CDJapan, I experience the New and Original great stories and beautiful Kaiju Anime! Thanks CDJapan!

Collecting and trying to use a variety of HTD books for reference and guidance, I find this one has a lot of great material. It has information and guides for drawing male and female characters, with a slight variety in art styles, and across a variety of poses, and expression/personality. It has basic face/head and bust templates, and many of the poses have a variety of composition, angle and motion and/or energy to them. The back also has a nice listing of each artist, and their social media/website. For a great way to help get a sense of natural poses and with different demeanor to the character, I highly recommend this book. Only 4/5 star since some may find some of the art styles a little conventionally unattractive, but they still do a good job of expressing movement and expression.

For a newer book, this one does a great job of building on what many HTD books offer. It's great as a starting point, or as a complement to others. The Japanese may be hard to follow for anyone just learning, but the images alone do a good job of conveying what's natural movement and positioning for the body. The early parts aren't as heavily gendered, so it helps to use the material when modeling a character regardless of gender and just figuring out a build. The rest of the book is fairly gendered, but a lot of the poses are across a diversity of angles, composition and scenes. There's a lot of motion, personality and kind of elements. There's also posing for pairs across different moods. A lot of the later poses don't have much guides to them, but as references, they are nice to use and can help create ideas for scenes. Probably one of the more broad and well-rounded HTD books I've seen, and definitely recommended.

In contrast with the other books of this series, this one do not contains black and white duplications of the color poses, instead it contains more poses with a couple of woman and man, couple of women and a couple of men, this is really interesting as it would allow to study in depth the three situations ! And as always, books are of high quality and arrive unharmed. I already bought the first two volumes and I highly recommand this series of book poses :)

Also for a non Japanese speaker is this book very usefull to refine your temari skills. I used google translator with the camera to translate from Japanese. A lot of clear drawings and pictures help to realize more advanced patterns. Not really for beginners.

It's a very cute book, small and meant for children. The pages are a thick material, similar to cardboard but very high quality. It was packaged very nicely and shipping was great.
