2023年でデビュー50周年を迎え2024年2月にはクイーンとしては初の全国4ヵ所全5公演のドーム・ツアーを行なうクイーン+アダム・ランバート。彼らの来日を記念して日本のみ発売が許可された、日本のファンが選ぶスペシャル・ライヴ・ベスト・アルバム。前回2020年1月のクイーン+アダム・ランバートの来日を記念して、同月15日に発売された『グレイテスト・ヒッツ・イン・ジャパン』のライヴ編ともいうべきこのスペシャル・ベスト・アルバムは、2023年11月1日～25日までユニバーサル ミュージック社の特設サイトで募集の「あなたの好きなクイーンのライヴ・トラックを投票しよう!」の集計結果から、上位曲を収録 (収録曲数は未定)。この投票はクイーン名義の過去6枚のライヴ・アルバムと、2020年にクイーン+アダム・ランバート名義でリリースされたライヴ盤『ライヴ・アラウンド・ザ・ワールド』の収録曲全170曲を対象に原則的に日本在住のクイーン・ファンから、ひとり2曲のルールで募集。今回のアルバム・タイトル『絆 (Kizuna)』は、クイーンとデビュー当時から彼らを熱心に応援してきた日本のファンとの50年にわたる特別な関係に由来するもの。日本独自企画。
