MOZART: THE FLUTE QUARTETS [SHM-CD+DVD] [Limited Edition]

Flutist Cocomi, who made her debut on the prestigious New York label DECCA GOLD in 2022, marks the 5th anniversary of her debut in 2026 with her 5th album. 2026 also marks the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth. Cocomi says this album lets listeners savor Mozart's many different expressions. It features the complete Flute Quartets, chamber music masterpieces where the flute's beautiful melodies blend with the rich sonorities of violin, viola, and cello. Joining her are violinist Ryota Higashi, winner of first prize at the 88th Japan Music Competition, who is active as a soloist, in chamber music, and as a guest with orchestras, and who performed the violin parts for the protagonist Aono Hajime in the anime "Blue Orchestra"; violist Meguna Naka, who has earned international acclaim as a member of Quartet Amabile and is also known as the former principal violist of the New Japan Philharmonic; and cellist Yusuke Yabe, who has won 2nd prize at the Japan Music Competition and 1st prize at the All-Japan Student Music Competition among other honors, and who is also active as a member of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. The collaboration with these accomplished players has produced a fresh, delicately conversational ensemble.
