The "Takumi" make-up brush series uses the highest grade goat hair called "Saikoho". The hairs used in this high-end make up brush series were handpicked by Mr. Tesshu, the brush artist himself. The Saikoho hair is as soft as a gray squirrel's hair and also has the strength of a goat hair. The product has no added color, because we wanted make its texture stand out. The brush is white, just like the original goat hair. Experience the ultimate make-up brush that was created from years of experience and passion by Mr. Tesshu's establishment.

The high density volume spreads the powder, blush evenly on the skin and dim your outline simultaneously. Rounded, densely packed bristles with a flat top is perfect for applying blush, highlighters, loose and compact powders and also for slight contouring. It deposits just the right amount of pigment to the cheek for either a soft or dramatic look. Experience the gentle touch with this brush.

good for less pigmented, hard pressed 4

Only good for less pigmented, hard pressed blush. I have soft pressed, pigmented blush, which doesn't work well with this brush. It's soft and dense, applies blush very precisely, blends well. I plan to get some less pigmented blush and use this brush.

      So Good I Bought A Second! 5

This brush feels like I’m applying blush with a bunny tail! It’s so soft and springy! It’s fully round, which makes this excellent for buffing. It picks up the right amount of product with pressed products and picks up a ton of powder from baked blushes. It's my favorite size (medium to large after washing and air drying) for blush as well.

      Tried to love it 3

To me, this is an odd brush for the following reasons: although it is saikoho, its not as soft and silky as my other saikoho brushes (some of them cheaper in fact), the hairs can also feel a bit prickly during application, the goat hairs pick up more color so its best for less pigmented blush - perhaps I just have not mastered the use of this shape of brush and seem to feel more at home with a paddle shape.

Choose this if you're dry skin 5

T4 has a similar shape and softness as Koyomo blush, but T4 is a bit denser and shorter hair. If you are thinking one of them, consider your skin type. Choose T4 you're dry skin. It doesn't pick too much powder so you won't look "powdery". Vice versa.

      A cotton ball 5

I absolutely love this brush, round and fluffy like a cotton ball, although it's not dense as I expect. The hair is also softer than the other Takumi brushes that I have. I often use it for setting powder and blush. Highly recommended!
