I never expected a remix album to be so refreshing. Instead of hashed up old beats with a new drum beat here and there, the genius that is FPM recruits some of his equally genius friends to perform and arrange completely new version of his tunes from "too" and earlier on occaision. The opening organic jazz version of 'Never Ever' performed by P'EZ instantly gets you in an upbeat mood - packed with so much energy! All the performances by various artists are full of thoughts and feeling and FPM's new track 'You' is a nice original addition to his repetoire. Brilliantly ground-breaking sounds. Acoustic bossa nova version of 'Never Ever' is a real chill-out track and the 'Spectacular' remix is a somewhat improvement from the original (slightly less cringe worthy and awkward when listening to them rap!) The first track and the last track can definately be considered as the best - the Tomita.lab remix of 'Why Not' is genius. So brilliantly arranged! This remix album gave me so much more than i expected when I bought it and it never fails to lift me up when I'm down!
