"Star Wars" Collaborative Ukiyo-e Art Products

Star Wars is well known for drawing inspiration from Japanese culture.

The "Interstellar Great War Picture (Seikan Taisen Emaki)" series was launched as the first official ukiyo-e artwork collection for Star Wars, under official license from Lucasfilm.
The series features the following pieces: "Darth Vader," "Darth Maul," "Queen Amidala and R2-D2," "Boba Fett," "Millennium Falcon," "Battle of Planet Hoth," and "The Mandalorian."

Contemporary ukiyo-e artists, including Masumi Ishikawa, Akira Shiozaki, and TAKUMI, have created entirely original compositions that reimagine the Star Wars universe through the traditional aesthetic of ukiyo-e. These works offer fresh interpretations of iconic characters and vehicles, seamlessly blending classical Japanese artistry with modern pop culture.

Posters are printed on Echizen washi—a premium-grade Japanese paper made from 100% kozo (paper mulberry)—and individually handcrafted by skilled artisans. The exceptional quality of this paper enhances their premium value.
(* Fabric boards are made of canvas.)

Additionally, Hanzo Ukiyo-e Works offers a diverse selection of Star Wars ukiyo-e, including the "Star Wars Samurai Painting" ink series by warrior painter Kojo Masayuki, and the "Star Wars Ukiyo-e Woodblock Prints" by ema (Shinto plaque) painter Miyagawa Ayumi, which portray characters in the style of traditional Japanese yakusha-e (actor portraits).

Experience the unique fusion of Star Wars and ukiyo-e.
