This is a new project in which the world view of Fate/Grand Order, which is celebrating its 9th anniversary, is expressed in Ukiyo-e by Yoshiyuki Ebata, a HANZAN-etching artist.
The motif of the "Migaraki Eirei-zu" is a portrait of a beautiful woman looking back at the viewer, which is a representative and synonymous work by Hishikawa Shigenobu, the artist who established Ukiyo-e. The "Migaraki Eirei-zu" depicts the moment when a beautiful woman suddenly looks back, with her eyes momentarily averted and her dignified pose.

In addition, this "Mikaeri Eirei-zu" is painted in a unique vertical format, which is rare in the world, as seen on ukiyoe fuda (Senja-fuda) and hanging scrolls.
Ukiyo-e sometimes depicts decorative backgrounds and designs using plants, small patterns, and Japanese patterns, as in the Art Nouveau style, which is why Ukiyo-e itself originally had a role as an advertisement, poster, or tag rather than as a painting.

The "Migaraki Eirei-zu" is an Ukiyoe woodblock print that incorporates the design elements of Ukiyoe with Japanese decorations.
Ukiyoe woodblock prints are a traditional Japanese art form that symbolizes Edo culture and the playful spirit of the culturally mature Edo period common people.

Since the Edo period, craftsmen have spun off the art of engraving and printing through a master-disciple relationship.

The complicated history of the Eirei is represented by the figure in the doorway decorated with "Kumiko" (*), a traditional craft.
