Terms and Conditions
- You must click on the Proceed to Checkout button in your shopping cart to be eligible for this promotion.
- Do not use the Check out with PayPal button because it's designed specifically for people who prefer to shop without creating the customer account. This promotion won't apply if this button is used to place the order.
- Rewards for purchase over 5,000yen that we normally offer as detailed under the "Up to 800 Points for a Purchase Over 5,000yen" section does not apply to orders that are eligible for this promotion.
- The promotion applies as long as you place your order between June 14 12:00:00PM and June 30, 2013 11:59:59PM (Japan Standard Time GMT+9), and it does not matter how long it takes your order to be shipped.
- Only the total price of items that are actually shipped is considered. So, we won't indicate the amount of bonus points you are eligible to earn in order details view or in the order confirmation mail.
- You agree that this promotion does not apply if the total price of items in your order becomes less than 5,000yen as a result of cancellation of any item for any reason, including unexpected cancellations due to low availability.
- Customers may enjoy this promotion as many times as their orders apply during the period.
- Bonus points expire in 90 days after they are credited.

Frequent Shopper Points
To say "thank you" for shopping at CDJapan, we credit your customer account with Frequent Shopper Points automatically after each of your order is shipped. Redeem points you earn when you place your new order. You save the same amount from your purchase as the amount of points you redeem. Each point is worth 1 Japanese yen for purchasing at CDJapan.
How to Earn Points
You automatically earn points after each of your order is shipped. Your customer account is credited with points equal in value to 3% of the total price of the products you purchase (books and magazines are exceptions).
- Frequent Shopper Points expire in 1 year after they are credited on your customer account.
- It's not possible to earn points for the portion of the total price of the product paid for by redeeming points.
- Shipping charge or any other fee won't be included in calculation of the points you earn from your purchase.
- Magazine subscriptions are excluded from this offer, and it is not possible to redeem points when placing your subscription order, either. Also, for books and magazines, only 1% of the total price is credited to your customer account as points.
How to Redeem Your Points
Redeem points to pay for the products you are purchasing, as well as to pay for the shipping charge at the time when you place your new order. Please note that is not possible to redeem points on already existing orders.
- Proceed to checkout from your shopping cart and sign into your Customer Account.
- Continue until the "Order Summary" page and enter the amount of points to redeem in the field next to where it says "Redeem Points" and click on "Apply."
Birthday Celebration
We celebrate your birthday by crediting 300 points on the first day of the month of your birthday every year. If November 19 is your birthday, for example, your customer account is credited with 300 points on November 1 every year. Please note that registration of your birthday is required for this offer, and once you register it, it won't be possible to modify it later.
Welcome Points for New Customers
Right now, we are offering 300 points to new customers. The points will be credited to your account automatically as soon as you finish creating your CDJapan customer account.
Up to 800 Points for a Purchase Over 5,000yen
In addition to the Frequent Shopper Points, we also offer up to 800 points if the total price of the products you purchase is 5,000yen or above. All products, including books and magazines, are applicable.
- Extra points detailed above will be credited to your customer account in 4 days after your order is shipped. They will expire in 90 days.
- Our site examines the total price of the products at the time when your order is shipped. The total price at the point when you placed your order won't be considered, because our site won't be able to keep track of the reasons for cancellation or any change made that may alter the total price of products before your order becomes available for shipping.
Receive Up to 1,000 Points Quarterly
On the first day of each quarter of the year (January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December), we offer up to 1,000 extra points based on the total price of the products shipped during the previous quarter.
- Extra points are credited to your customer account on the first day of January, April, July, and October, and expire in 90 days.
- Our site examines the total price of the products shipped during each quarter on your customer account. If you preorder a product that will be released in the next quarter, the price of the product will be included in the total amount for the next quarter.
