"Tokyo Sonata" Wins Asian Film Awards for Best Film!

Japanese movie "Tokyo Sonata" wins Asian Film Awards for Best Film. This film also wins award for best screenwriter. A world famous director Kiyoshi Kurosawa depicts dark side of human beings and social problems of modern Japanese family. Stars Teruyuki Kagawa, Kyoko Koizumi, Koji Yakusho, and more talented actors.

Plot: Father cannot tell his family that he gets laid off, so puts on his suit and pretends to go to work. Mother stays home and makes donuts, but nobody eat. Older son is going to join U.S. forces, and I, a youngest son in my family strives to study the piano against his father's wishes, leading to another lie for the family. There should be nothing to cause awful changes, but my family gradually come apart from within. . . A ray of hope at the end of the movie is overwhelming.
