New Album From Chieko Kawabe

Eighteen year-old Chieko Kawabe is best known as Naru Osaka in the live action "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon," as well as playing Ami Mizuno (a.k.a. Sailor Mercury) in the Sailor Moon stage musicals . She is also a top model for the teen fashion magazine "Loveberry," as well as Miyuu Sawai, another popular idol playing Usagi Tsukino in the Sailor Moon live action series.

Last year, she made her CD debut with the single "be your girl," produced by Saisuke Kato (ex-Lucifer , a.k.a. Atsuro). "Be Your Girl" is the ending song to the anime "elfin lied."

Then, on March 16, 2005, her first full-length album was released featuring many non-Japanese artists, who took part in songwriting and arrangements, including Face 2 fAKE. In addition to her first three singles and a cover of "I Can't Wait" (Hilary Duff song featured in "Lizzie Mcguire") the album includes two outro theme songs "Hoshi ni Negai wo" and "Cry Baby" from "Otogizoushi," the historical anime series by Production I.G (character designed by Sho-u Tajima) of "Innocence" and "Kill Bill Vol.1" fame. TV-sized versions of the two songs are featured in the "Otoizoushi" soundtracks vol.1 & vol.2. If you're inspired to sing along, the karaoke tracks are included on her 1st and 2nd singles. Finally, don't forget her solo video, "Pop!," which is still available.
