Classical Yoshiki

Twelve years after ex-X Japan member Yoshiki's first classical album, his long-awaited 2nd album "Eternal Melody II" will finally be released on March 23, 2005. His first solo album has sold around 300,000 copies, very unusual for a classical album. This time, his new CD contains classical-styled self-covers of X Japan's representative song "Forever Love," globe's song "Seize the Light," Yoshiki's new project Violet UK song "Red Christmas" and "Ima wo Dakishimete," originally written for NOA (Nobuko Sendo and Eisaku Yoshida) in 1993.

Briefly, this is not just a sequel album, but a "record" covering Yoshiki's past, present and future. The album also includes the official song of "EXPO 2005 AICHI, JAPAN," and "Anniversary" (piano concerto in C minor/ 20 min approx) written by Yoshiki himself to celebrate the tenth Anniversary of the Enthronement of the Emperor in 1999. In addition, his new live DVD will be released on March 30th. This DVD contains live footage filmed at Tokyo International Forum on December 3 & 4, 2002, featuring the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra and Violet UK. Finally, don't forget to check out other works he produced like the Korean rock band TRAX and Takeshi ("Beat") Kitano's daughter Shoko Kitano.
