Kung Fu Hustle

KUNG FU HUSTLE (English Subtitles) - Despite the start of the summer blockbuster season, Stephen Chow's immensely popular martial arts comedy is still in theaters almost two months after its release. That's unheard of these days, but it's a testament to the film's popularity and fans can't wait to own this.

Set in 1930s Shanghai, gangs rule the streets, striking fear into the hearts of honest citizens. Chow plays a young wannabe, inspired with admiration for the most notorious gang, "The Axes." One day, in a slum on the outskirts of town, he wreaks havoc, recklessly posing as an Axe member. The result is a veritable riot between the real gang members and the denizens of a housing project who just so happen to be strangely well versed in the art of kung fu. Of course, it's all played for fun.

Chow has managed to do what no other director has, create a successful live action "Road Runner" film.

Hurry to get the limited edition with T-shirt. DTS edition is also available. Don't forget the soundtrack album, too.
