Kaela Kimura - New Album

Born in Tokyo on October 24, 1984, Kaela Kimura launched her career at the age of 18 when she landed a gig as a model for the fashion magazine "Seventeen." In June 2004, she made her debut as a singer with "Level 42" and by March 2005, her 3rd single was released. Entitled "Rirura Riruha ("Real Life, Real Heart")," it's paired with an original version of "Twinkle," featured in the mega hit compilation album "Love for Nana - Only 1 Tribute." With these 2005 releases, her popularity has grown so quickly that she'll make an appearance at Summer Sonic 2005, one of notable Japanese music festivals that will feature the world famous bands Oasis and Nine Inch Nails.

Moreover, the release of her first live performance DVD has been announced. It will contains 18 songs, including her hit 2nd single "Happiness!!!" and behind-the-scenes documentaries filmed at all the live venues (Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka) during her 1st live tour "4YOU." Currently, she's also hosting the TVK Network variety show "Saku Saku."

Her favorite bands are New Found Glory and Sum 41, and she's admitted a deep respect for vocalists Gwen Stefani (No Doubt) and Ringo Shiina. She also plays the guitar and the piano and, when not performing, her hobby is tailoring clothes for herself.
