Ghibli's New Singer, Kazumi Nikaido

Kazumi Nikaido sings "Inochi no Kioku," the main theme song for "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Story of Princess Kaguya)," which is the Ghibli's up-coming movie directed by Isao Takahata.

Do you know about her? She is a Hiroshima-residing artist who has a unique background as an active buddhist monk. She gradually widens her scope of activities composing music for TV commercials and local schools and is gaining popularity with her cheerful and encouraging character.

This time, a song collection for "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari," "Ghibli to Watashi to Kaguya Hime," and a deluxe edition of "Nijimi," one of her masterpieces, will be released simultaneously on November 20, 2013. The song collection includes its main theme "Inochi no Kioku," insert songs, and more. "Nijimi" deluxe edition contains 17 tracks total plus a bonus DVD with three music videos "Onna wa Tsuraiyo," "Owakare no Toki," and "Totsutotsu I Love You," and live footage.
