Tale of Genji: A Thousand Year Enigma

"Genji Monogatari: Sennen no Nazo (Tale of Genji: A Thousand Year Enigma)," a period film based on 1,000-year-old novel "The Tale of Genji" written by Murasaki Shikibu is now available on DVD and Blu-ray for pre-order!

The sotry depicts love and intrigue among nobles in Heian period (794-1185). Centers on the life of both Murasaki Shikibu (Miki Nakatani) and her imaginary figure in the novel, Hikaru Genji (Toma Ikuta), and reveals why and how "The Tale of Genji" was created.
