The Hidden Blade Series New Film

"Hisshiken Torisashi," the third film adaptation from Shuhei Fujiwasa's novel "The Hidden Blade" series following previous films "The Hidden Blade" and "Love and Honor," is now available to preorder. It will be out on December 24, 2010!

The previous two films were directed by Yoji Yamada and this third film is directed by Hideyuki Hirayama of "Talk, Talk, Talk."

Plot: Set in the Edo era, at Unasaka-han in north western Japan, Kanemi Sanzaemon (Etsushi Toyokawa) kills a kept mistress of his load Ukyodayu. He did it because she had a great influence on Ukyo for decision making. Three years later, after he loses his wife to illness, Sanzaemon tries to pay for what he did and searches for a place to die. However, unexpectedly Ukyo let him off easy. He does not quite get it, but one day his superior tells Sanzaemon that someone is planning an assassination of Ukyo and requires him to save their lord.
