Assault Girls directed by Mamoru Oshii

"Assault Girls," a live-action film directed by Mamoru Oshii finally comes out on DVD on June 23, 2010!

This is the first new live-action film since his previous work "Avalon," eight years ago. This is also tie-up work with online PC game "Cross Fire." Stars Meisa Kuroki, Rinko Kikuchi, and Hinako Saeki.

Special collector's edition includes a bonus disc, 92-page storyboard script written by Mamoru Oshii, and 16-page color instruction manual.

Plot: Set in a virtual space called Avalon, the players come to an area Desert 22, where giant monsters named Sunakujira roam, and wage war against the monsters. All of a sudden, the last boss called Madara Sunakujira appears, and players decide to form a party and throw down the gauntlet against it. . .
