Ayaka - Greatest Hits Album
Ayaka began her career as a singer by singing cover songs at school concerts. After she decided to become a professional singer, she began to compose her own songs and went to the same music school where another popular Jpop singer YUI graduated from. She performed at several music festivals in 2005. In December of the year Lyor Cohen, the CEO of Warner Music Japan, praised Ayaka for her performance, recognizing her abilities and talents as comparable to singers of Mariah Carey and Hikaru Utada calibers. Then her first major-label single ranked in the third place on the Oricon hit charts, which is still the best record for a debut single.
Her greatest hits album "ayaka's History 2006-2009" features numerous hit songs such as "I believe" and "Mikazuki," collaboration songs with Kobukuro, and the latest "Minna Sora no Shita." Disc 2 features tracks selected by fan votes.
