Remake of "Joshu Sasori" & Other Pinky Violence Films!
Director Joe Ma's remake of Japanese classic cult film "Joshu Sasori (Female Convict Scorpion)" finally premiered in Japan on August 8, 2009!
"Joshu Sasori (Female Convict Scorpion)" is one of the most famous and revered series in the "Women in Prison" subgenre of pinky violence films created by Toei Company and it is also widely known as an inspiration behind Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill." Japanese actress Miki Mizuno plays a main character Nami Matsushima (Scorpion) who Meiko Kaji played.
