Naomi Kawase wins the honor of "Carrosse d'Or" at Cannes!


Naomi Kawase's new film - Nanayomachi

Director Naomi Kawase is bestowed the Golden Coach Award (Carrosse d'Or) at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. She is also a winner of 2007 Cannes grand prix with her film "The Mourning Forest" and Camera d'Or for New Director with her feature film "Moe no Suzaku" in 1997.





Director Kawase brings her latest film "Nanayomachi" with English subtitles on May 20, 2009. Story depicts inner growth of 30-year-old woman named Ayako (Kyoko Hasegawa) through the experience of exotic culture and traditional massage in Thailand.
