Metallica - Death Magnetic

Sure they've had their ups and downs, but this ain't just some kind of monster, this is Metallica! Recently Metallica returned with their new full-length album "Death Magnetic." To commemorate, Metallica also released their entire back catalog in the high-fidelity SHM-CD format.

First, you read that right, Metallica's new album came out first in Japan on September 10!--over a week earlier than predicted release dates for some territories. The Japanese version is available in two varieties--either the regular edition featuring all 10 tracks from the album or limited edition featuring the same album in the high-quality SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD players).

Speaking of SHM-CDs, Metallica's entire back catalog was released the same date in SHM-CD format. This goes for main albums from "Kill 'em All" up through "St. Anger," as well as the works "Garage Inc." and "S&M."
