Gollbetty - New Album

The summer heats up as Nagoya-based ska-pop band Gollbetty return with their major label debut album "Betty's Buggy"! Coming over a year since previous album "Goll & Response," "Betty's Buggy" shows that while this girly seven-piece may be growing into their new label, they most certainly aren't growing up!
Formed in 2004, Gollbetty plays a rock-oriented ska focused around female lead vocalist G-Yun and the band's three-piece horn section. The band's songs are reminiscent of other female-fronted third wave ska bands like Save Ferris, though their biggest influences are likely also their biggest fans--other Kansai acts like Ketchup Mania, Witchery Skank, and Yum!Yum!Orange.
Gollbetty's new album "Betty's Buggy" features 13 tracks including lead single "99%." The album will be released August 6, 2008 in two varieties. Order the limited edition to get the 13-song album with deluxe model packaging designed by G-Yun herself, or get the regular edition which includes bonus DVD with five songs recorded at Gollbetty's "Goll no Hi" event May 6.
