The Glory of Team Batista

The feature film adaptation of award-winning mystery novel " The Glory of Team Batista (Team Batista no Eiko)" is out now on DVD with English subtitles!

Tojo University Hospital employs the prestigous "Team Batista," a staff of surgeons with a success rate for heart transplants far exceeding the norm of 60%--including 26 consecutive successes. However, one day the team goes on a slump with three consecutive deaths on the operating table. Were they accidents? Were they murders? The hospital chief entrusts a doctor named Taguchi with the dangerous task of investigating the staff in a medical world she's completely unfamiliar with. Naturally, things don't work out so well, and she plans to give her supervisor the final decsion that "these were accidents, there isn't a problem with the team" when one of the reviewers of her final draft states "I'm moved by your report. I didn't realize people could be fooled this easily." Now Taguchi and the short-tempered Mr. Shiratori of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare must find the truth behind the team's recent deaths.
