D'espairsRay - Brilliant

Over a year since the release of their previous album "Mirror," D'espairsRay are back with the brand-new single "Brilliant." Those of you who got a chance to see them on the "Taste of Chaos" tour of the US are going to be dying to hear what hey have in store this time!

The new single "Brilliant" shows off the latest incarnation of D'espairsRay's ever-evolving sound with two new tracks. Title track "Brilliant" kicks things off with a shimmering guitar line before launching into a medium-tempo rock track backed by synths. In place of howls and screams, vocalist HIZUMI places emphasis on melody, including plenty of high notes and an extremely powerful chorus. From there B-side "Cocoon" breaks in with a deluge of aggression, combining a driving guitar riff, powerful rhythm section performance, and snarling vocals.
