Sound Horizon - More Visual than Visual

Based around composer and lyricist Revo, Sound Horizon is composed of a revolving group of musicians with which the band performs live. Their music draws heavily from the worlds of anime and visual kei, combining fantastic themes with a gothic atmosphere and occasional heavy guitar. Each album presents a full fantasy story through which a hero progresses through a journey that leads them from the wonderous to the desperate as indicated by song vocals and occasional voice over (lately perfomed by actual anime voice artists). Live, the group takes the concept of "Visual Kei" to the next level with theatrical, almost operatic performances that go from beauty to near grotesque (just try this YouTube video)
