Mystic - Dynamite Jelly
If you're a fan of the dual-girl harmonies that made Puffy a hit in both Japan and abroad, you owe it to yourself to check out the newly released third full-length album from Okinawa-based ska-pop band Mystic.
Produced by former Judy and Mary member Toshihito Ondo, Mystic made a splash last September with the release of their previous full-length "Heartwork." Frequently playing with their J-indie ska contemporaries Gollbetty and Yum!Yum! Orange, Mystic combine those bands' rock-heavy third-wave ska sound with female harmonies very remniscent of Puffy. Recently, Mystic's latest single "I can't" appeared as the theme song for anime series "Chocomimi."
Mystic's third full-length album "Dynamite Jelly" came out February 6, 2008. The album includes advanced singles "I can't" and "Rocket (Original Version)," and more songs for a total of 15 tracks. Order now!
