Veltpunch and the J-Indie Rock Revolution

Veltpunch

Check out the newly release fourth full-length album from Shimo-Kitazawa-based indie rock four-piece Veltpunch! Titled "White Album," Veltpunch's latest release features seven new tracks in the band's distinctively synchopated, distortion bleached, sound.

Originally forming in 1997, Veltpunch released their first album "When We Drive" in 2000. Since then the band has appeared everywhere from the film soundtrack to "Ningen no Kata" to the SXSW Music Conference in Austin, released four albums, and dominated the Tokyo indie rock scene with their male/female harmonies and tight band sound. If you haven't had the chance to hear Veltpunch before, CDJapan strongly urges you to check out the band's videos at SoundTV (Japanese link).

For those of you ready to take the plunge, Veltpunch's "White Album" came out August 1, 2007 with seven tracks total. Order now!
