Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Volume one of the anime series "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" is out now from Gainax, the production house known for "Neon Genesis Evangelion"!

In a distant future underground village, a young resident named Simon finds two mysterious devices - a shining drill and the face of a huge robot. At the same time, Simon's friend Kamina believes that there is a world on the surface of the earth and proceeds his plan to destroy the ceiling and travel upwards. It turns out that Simon's friend is correct, one day an earthquake destroys the ceiling of the town and a giant robot comes to distroy their village. Following the robot, a girl named Yoko comes from the above-ground world. When Simon shows the drill and face to her, he discovers that they are part of a robot which can defeat the attacking enemy.

"Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Vol.1" includes two episodes. And the limited edition comes with a bonus DVD with an anime technique lesson from Gainax featuring voice lessons from voice actress Marina Inoue!
