Satoshi Kon's Paprika

"Millenium Actress" and "Perfect Blue" director Satoshi Kon returns with the official Japanese DVD release of his latest anime theatrical feature, "Paprika."

Originally debuting at the Venice International Film Festival, "Paprika" has garnered international critical acclaim for its psychological twists and turns set against a new future backdrop. Megumi Hayashibara plays lead voice actress as the titular character Paprika, aka scientist Atsuko Chiba as she enters into the world of human dreams in order to assist a group of researchers who's psychological technology has been used against them in a plot to destroy their id. As Paprika travels deeper into the dream world, fantasy and reality blend into an ominous grey future.
