Takuya Kimura in Bushi no Ichibun w/ English Subs


Bushi no Ichibun

Director Yoji Yamada's "Bushi no Ichibun," the follow up to previous samurai trilogy films "Tasogare no Seibei" and "Kakushi Ken Oni no Tsume," is out now on DVD. This time around, Takuya Kimura plays the main role as a blind samurai.

Shinnojo Mimura became blind while working as a food-taster for his master. Though he had once given up hope and attempted suicide, he stopped himself for the sake of his beautiful wife, Kayo (Rei Dan). However, he finds Kayo is secretly meeting Shimada, a hight-samurai samurai, in the hopes of finding financial support to maintain the house for Shinnojo. While Kayo's sacrifice for Shinjo leaves him with nothing but agony, Shinnojo moves closer to his destiny.

The film features English Subtitles. Limited edtion includes two bonus discs with making-of documentary, feature on sword battling, promotional video, award-acceptance footage, interview with Takuya Kimura, and more.
