Nihon Chinbotsu

Preorders are now open for the latest film to rock Japanese movie theaters, "Nihon Chinbotsu"! This winter Japan sinks into the ocean!

SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi stars with singer Kou Shibasaki in this big screen remake of the classic Japanese film and novel about the day Japan fell off the map. One day a scientist (Kusanagi) discovers that the crust beneath Japan is about to crumble, and all of Japan's inhabitants are set to be sucked into the deep. Panic ensues while rescuers attempt to move as many people as they can out of Japan, however their work also endangers the rescuers lives. With his rescuer lover (Shibasaki) and Japan in the ballance, can the scientist save Japan from sinking, or at least buy enough time to save the woman he loves?

"Nihon Chinbotsu" is available in two varieties, a special edition featuring the main feature, bonus disc, sample script, image board booklet, illlustrated card set, and digipak case, or the standard edition which only includes the main feature. Soundtrack by Taro Iwashiro also available!
