Siren

It's said that on one night in 1976, the sea around the island village of Yamijima turned crimson and the residents all disappeared with the sound of a mysterious siren. The only survivor was a crazy man who could only repeat the words "don't go outside when you hear the siren." It's been twenty years since the disappearance and Yamajima has been rebuilt. Yuki moves with her father and sick brother to the countryside where they are greeted by a welcoming town and a pleasant island locale which seems to do her brother good. As Yuki's neighbor helps ehr move, she gives her sage advice, "take care of your relationships here," "don't go out walking at night," and, most unsettling, "don't go outside when you hear the siren."

"Siren" stars Yui Ichikawa ("Juon") and Hiroshi Abe and is directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi ("Keizoku").
