A young maid and her 10-year-old son come to work for a mathematical genius who had his brain damaged in a car accidend and is only able to remember 80 minutes at a time. When they decide to live together, the mother and son are charmed by the professor's love of math, quickly discoving the beauty of the words hidden within the math of the professor.
