Ken Ishii - Play, Pause, and Play

Ken Ishii

The man who rocked the detroit house scene from Japan, the undisputed king of Japanese dance music since his debut in the 90s and winner of the Ibiza, Spain DJ awards 2004, Ken Ishii is back with a new two-disc mix set. Disc one, labeled "Play," is a relentless attack of dance music, with tracks carefully chosen from Ishii's live setlist. Disc two, labeled "Pause," is a tour of Ishii's own record collection, an off-time mix of assorted tracks that struck Ishii as influential--including works from artists like Throbbing Gristle, Brian Eno, and Jeff Mills.
