Not so great 2

As all items delivered by CD Japan, it was fast and efficient, well packed and so on. I first was amazed by that band's style, great costumes and epic scenes in the promotional videos... But when I bought this CD, I felt they were all in the looks, nothing in the music. Personally I hated the music. All have their opinions, I know loads who love them, but it was too (mixed up ?) for me. Noise.

When I heard "The Revenant Choir" I just fell in love with Kamijo's voice and the beat of the music. I had been waiting a long time for a Visual Kei band like this and I am happy to stubble across them. I don't remember how life was before them, lol.

Lyrical Sympathy - magnificent 5

I had not heard of this band before I saw their concert at A-kon. I had no expectations at all. But their live performance blew me away and I felt excited like I had not felt in a long time about anything. I immediately ordered Lyrical Sympathy and I've been listening to it every day since. It's rare that I like every single track on an album, but this album has accomplished that and more. I love the melding of classical symphony with metal rock. This album is beautifully done and it is very clear that the bandmembers took alot of care in the creation of this album. Kudos to Versailles! I can't wait for Noble!

A must-buy album!!! 5

Oh my God. That was my reaction when I first listened to Versailles. I was on YouTube just checking out the bands that were going to perform @ A-Kon 19 in Dallas, TX. Their sound was so amazing, everything from the electronics, piano arrangements, guitars, vocals, drums, everything. After seeing them live on stage I had to have their CD. So I came here and purchased it and again, I was amazed! Their sound reminds me of Castlevania meets Visual Kei if you can make that out in your head. Their is not one song on this CD that will disappoint you. Even the intro sounds good and its only 1:10! If there was any one thing that I could say that got me back into the whole Japanese thing (language, anime, art, and of course music), it would have to be this CD. I know this isn't the best review since its biased with favorism towards the band, but their music is really that good. Pick up the CD and you won't be let down.

Versailles is the best new visual band and I love that Kamijo is still singing. I love that Hizaki is in the band. Versailles is my favorite band.

SACD (Super Audio CD)
